Volunteer

There are many ways to get involved with Takapuna Boating Club, even if you are not a sailor!

Read on below for ways to volunteer your time at the club and help the community.

Social Committee

We run a range of social club events throughout the year for members, including Quiz nights, themed evenings, sporting and a range of community events etc.

In addition, the social committee organises events around annual events such as

  • Mother's & Father's Day
  • St. Patricks Day
  • Melbourne Cup
  • Waitangi Day
  • Christmas and Mid-winter celebrations
    just to mention a few.

Joining the social committee is a great option no matter if you like organising events, decorating, and coming up with fun concepts and themes, or if just want to meet new friends.

On-the-water Volunteers

Love the water but not a sailor? Perhaps you'd like to learn how to drive a RIB boat?

Throughout the year, Takapuna Boating Club runs regular club racing and a range of regattas and events for all classes of sailors, paddlers, and foilers.

We also run on-the-water support safety crews for other events in the area and we are always looking for volunteers to help out on the water.
Please get in touch if this sounds like something you would like to know more about.

On-land Volunteers

We provide opportunities for people in the community to get involved in our activities with regular "Have a Go" days, which open to the public.
We always need people on land for booking of equipment, to inform prospective new members of the benefits of joining Takapuna Boating Club, and of course to sign them up!

These days are a fun way to give back to the club while also interacting with the local community.

If any of the above sounds interesting, please get in touch & email: members@takapunaboating.org.nz
to sign up or request more information.
