Volunteer
There are many ways to get involved with Takapuna Boating Club, even if you are not a sailor!
Read on below for ways to volunteer your time at the club.
Social Committee
We run a range of social club events throughout the year for members, including Quiz nights, themed evenings, sporting and a range of community events etc.
In addition, the social committee organises events around annual events such as Mother's & Father's Day, St. Patricks Day, Melbourne Cup, and Waitangi Day to mention a few.
Joining the social committee is a great option if you like organising events, decorating and coming up with fun concepts and themes, or just want to meet new friends.
On-the-water volunteers
Love the water but not a sailor? Want to learn how to drive a RIB boat?
Throughout the year, Takapuna Boating Club runs regular club racing and a range of regattas and events for all classes of sailors, paddlers and foilers.
We also run on-the-water support safety crews for other events in the area and we are always looking for volunteers to help out on the water.
On-land volunteers
We provide opportunities for people in the community to get involved in our activities with regular "Have a Go" days, open to the public.
We always need people on land for booking of equipment, to inform prospective new members of the benefits of joining Takapuna Boating Club, and of course signing them up.
These days are a fun way to give back to the club while also interacting with the local community.
