Storage is available to active members of Takapuna Boating Club only. It is subject to availability and will be prioritised towards regular users if demand is high.

Terms and Conditions of Storage Rental

1. Rental Commencement and Duration: TBC rents the Surfski / SUP / Sailboat on the trailer in TBC’s basement or outside club on an annual basis starting from September 1st. This agreement continues until terminated by either party.

2. Payment and Late Fees: MEMBER agrees to pay the rental price to TBC before September 1st each year. If any payment is not received within 30 days after the due date, TBC reserves the right to increase the outstanding amount by 15%. Failure to pay may result in the immediate cancellation of the lease agreement, and TBC may retain the boat until full payment is made.

3. Prorated Agreements: Storage agreements initiated from February will be prorated based on the number of months of storage for that year.

4. Subleasing and Usage: No subleasing of boat storage space is allowed without prior written consent from TBC. Assigned storage spaces are to be used exclusively for the storage of the specified boat.

5. Commercial Use Prohibition: MEMBER shall not operate or permit any commercial use of their craft while stored at TBC.

6. Liability and Responsibility: TBC shall not be liable for any personal injury sustained by any MEMBER. TBC shall not be responsible for safekeeping or the condition of the boat and shall not be held accountable for any loss or damage, including but not limited to fire, theft, storm, act of God, or any other cause, to MEMBER’S boat.

7. Termination and Removal: In the event of lease agreement cancellation, TBC reserves the right to remove MEMBER’S boat from any storage space.

8. Automatic Renewal and Termination: This lease agreement will automatically renew unless terminated by written notice from MEMBER.

9. Insurance Requirement: MEMBER agrees to maintain insurance on their boat and all related property.
