1             RULES

1.1          The regatta will be governed by the rules as defined in The Racing Rules of Sailing.

1.2          Yachting New Zealand Prescriptions 2017-2020 shall apply.          

1.3          Racing rule 26 is changed to Warning signal at three minutes before the starting signal.

The changes will appear in full in the sailing instructions. The sailing instructions may also change other racing rules.

1.7          The sailing instructions will consist of the instructions in RRS Appendix S, Standard Sailing Instructions, and supplementary sailing instructions that will be on the official notice board located at 39 the Strand, Takapuna.

1.8           Appendix T will apply.

 1.9      Appendix B will apply.


2              ADVERTISING   

2.1          Competitor advertising shall not conflict with any series sponsors advertising.

2.2          Competitors may be required to carry series sponsors advertising.



3.1          The series is open to all boats of foiling and high speed class(es).

3.2          Eligible boats may enter by completing the attached form and sending it, together with the required fee,

5              FEES

5.1          Required fees are as follows:

                Series entry. Club members no charge. Non club members $80.00

                Single day. Club members, no charge. Non club members $10 per day



The sailing instructions will be available after 15.00 on 30 September at 39 the Strand, Takapuna or


11           THE COURSES

The courses to be sailed will be as follows: L2 or as displayed on the starting boat.


12           PENALTY SYSTEM


12.2       For all classes RRS 44.1 is changed so that the Two-Turns Penalty is replaced by the One-Turn Penalty.


13           SCORING

13.2        10 races are required to be completed to constitute a series.


a)            When fewer than 11 races have been completed, a boat’s series score will be the total of her race scores.

b)            When 11 to 20 races have been completed, a boat’s series score will be the total of her race scores excluding her worst score.

c)            When 21 or more races have been completed, a boat’s series score will be the total of her race scores excluding her two worst scores.



14           PRIZES

Prizes will be given as follows: Overall winners and runners up of all classes. Prizes of value will only be awarded to financial members of Takapuna Boating Club


15           INSURANCE

Each participating boat shall be insured with valid third-party liability insurance.


Competitors participate in the regatta entirely at their own risk. See RRS 4, Decision to Race. The organising authority will not accept any liability for material damage or personal injury or death sustained in conjunction with or prior to, during, or after the regatta.
